Ayesha Takia Bio and Pics - Ayesha Takia was born on April 10, 1986 in Mumbai and grew up there. Her father Nishit is a Gujarati and mother Faridah, an anglo-Indian Muslim, she is the elder among two daughters. Ayesha attended St. Anthony's High School but never went to college because she entered the world of entertainment at very young age. Ayesha grew up speaking English at home and she worked hard to learn Hindi and Telugu for her roles in movies.

Ayesha's favorite actors from childhood are Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Her favorite actresses are Sridevi and Rani Mukherji. She finds that there are many good directors but she has always liked Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

She is a vegetarian, and enjoys going for long drives, reading, spending time with family, amongst others. Happy New Year 2011.

She won the 2004, Filmfare Sensational Debut Award for her performance in Tarzan: The Wonder Car and Dil Maange More. She is a Mumbaite and comes from a mixed family. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is half British and half Maharashtrian. She is a vegetarian. Ayesha had to learn Hindi to do films, but only needed to learn diction because she came from a family where they speak more English at home.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to stories, listening to music, reading, spending time with family, long drives, and sitting at cafes over conversation with people she likes. She has done ads since age 4. By now she has done 60 ads. Her first Music Video was Phalguni Pathak's "Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye" when she was 15. Then came "Shake it Daddy" which brought her lot of recognition. 'Socha na tha' is the first movie she signed up for. But it got delayed and her other movie 'Tarzan' claimed as Ayesha's first movie in Bollywood. She has also worked in Telgu movie 'Super' which released in January 2006.
